“The biggest challenge was meshing sonic differences between the verses, choruses and solo out. The intro and verses are in mono and the choruses and end solo are in stereo. I'm pulling from a few different versions in my take of the song. There are elements of the BBC version from May 1972, the "David Live" version from 1974 and of course the original studio take. Another big challenge was recreating Mick Ronson's solo at the end. So cool. David Bowie is in my top three favorite artists of all time. His ever-changing outlook on musical approach has been a lifelong inspiration on my own approach to making music. I've done this song in a few bands I've been in over the years, so it was no problem to jump into my Ziggy suit. I'm really glad I got to do this song. I almost did the Arnold Corns version but went with the Ziggy version instead. No matter how you play it, it's a great song. That's the real test.”

This is colossal. I’ve been enjoying these guys for years but this album is next level. They seemed to have found their stride & it’s a biggin’. I feel that they’re heading into the Groove/Rock Genre of Clutch but still carry that epic, larger-than-life sound you’d expect from Zeppelin or later era Soundgarden. Their sound is tighter than a fish’s ass (and that’s water tight) & whatever these guys are doing; I’m loving it. And…the vocals are so, so, so good! I’m excited for their next outing.
